ABOUT

THE GUESTHOUSE

Villa Giulia & Gaia is a modern building that recalls the traditional farmhouses of the past. Its characteristic white colour gives it that bright, linear and clean look that makes it unique. The structure consists of a central body with four symmetrically arranged rooms with common access, each with a veranda or balcony overlooking the vast surrounding garden.

The two rooms on the side of the central body complete the whole, both with independent access and the only room located on the first floor which also has an independent access with private terrace and balcony overlooking the garden.

Our guests can use for free a large kitchen  arranged at the end of the structure, fully equipped with everything necessary to prepare their meals.

The entire estate is surrounded by a beautiful garden full of olive trees, symbol of our land and the colorful prickly pears that make it the perimeter as well as all other varieties of ornamental plants, flowers and fruits wisely cared for.

SEE & DO

THINGS TO DO

Beaches

The Villa is located halfway between Gallipoli and Porto Cesareo. You can reach both locations in 10 minutes by car. Remember to visit the marine natural park of Portoselvaggio and the seaplaces of Santa Caterina, Santa Maria al Bagno and Sant'Isidoro.

Oil and wine

Nardò, like a good part of southern Apulia, is a city with a vocation for the production of excellent DOCG wine and as much excellence in extra virgin olive oil. You can taste many local specialties both in seafood restaurants and in the many trattorias of typical cuisine in the area. Let your senses be overwhelmed by our delicacies.

Cities and Art

In the historical centre of Nardò you can visit the Cathedral, the Aragonese Castle with the Villa Comunale, rich in botanical varieties from all over the world and Piazza Salandra with its typical column of the Immacolata and the Sedile. Do not miss the Museum of Prehistory and the Salento Aquarium.

Excursions

If you love unspoilt places, this is the right place to discover them within the marine reserves, nature parks and our countryside. You can choose to go there by bike, go trekking, horseback riding or take part in our boat trips with lunch on board. In short, there is something for every taste, you have the choice.

Festivals and religious rites

During your holiday you will surely come across one of the many festivals or patronal feasts that still animate the Salento with a pleasant succession of popular traditions, ancient religious cults, the characteristic Pizzica and many flavors and aromas of this magical land.

Nightlife
For years, Salento has been synonymous with fun, ranging from continuous entertainment on the beaches, to evenings organized in discos or discos pubs. Those who prefer a quiet evening can choose among the many clubs on the coast, also in Lecce or in some very characteristic restaurants in the hinterland.

ABOUT US

image

The villa is located not far from the nearest cities, so it is better to get there by car. Clean, tidy room, even the bathroom. Shared kitchen where you can prepare meals. It is nice to have a coffee on the terrace of the villa :) You must visit the area  - Regional Natural Park of Porto Selvaggio and Palude del Capitano, the locality of Santa Caterina - wonderful nature and local climate! I would suggest! The owner is very kind and helpful, he doesn't live in the villa, it's worth contacting him in advance and communicate your arrival time.
